James Gray Wilson

The morning of Wednesday June 10, 2015, James Wilson of Thornhill, ON, quietly passed away at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital Palliative Care. Beloved husband of his true love Betty of 53 years. A strong, wise and kind man from Belfast, Ireland, was the cherished father of his two sons Brian and Stephen. Best of friends with the daughter he never had, Stephen’s adoring wife Alicia. Loving and proud grandfather to Elizabeth, Victoria and Scott. Loving brother to Doreen Birch and his brothers, the late Thomas Wilson and Robert Wilson (and their spouses, Rae, Barbara and Pat). He will also be missed by his sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Keith Powell as well as sister-in-law Riet Scott (wife of the late Gerald Scott). Fun and gentle uncle to his many nieces and nephews from the Wilson, Birch, Powell and Scott families. A steamfitter by trade, James was a hard-working cardholder of UA Local 46 where he had many lifelong friends. James will be dearly missed by all of us and fondly remembered for his unconditional love and dedication to family, as well as so many interests and passions that he shared and enjoyed with his dear late wife Betty, as well as his sons. A visitation will be held at 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday June 12, 2015; service at 10 a.m. on Saturday June 13, 2015 at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
