Mom spent most of her childhood years in Hasaka, Japan with her grandmother and her late sister Florence until the end of the Second World War. Following the war they were re-united with their parents and sister Marie.
Mom was pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years, Minoru by 7 months.
She was a loving and supportive mom to Susan, Jeff (Akiko), and Marianne. Proud Grandma to Jonathan.
Also, she will be missed by many long time friends especially Yuri Yamamoto
Most recently, she was a happy resident at Canterbury Place. She loved the community there and had become an active and much beloved member.
Friends are welcome to gather with family on Friday July 15th at 10am at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home located at 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will follow the gathering at 11 a.m. in the R.S. Kane Chapel. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to her church, Bayview United Church.
Mom would prefer no yellow flowers and no roses at the funeral
