Mr. Jeffrey Allan Hawkins

HAWKINS, Jeffrey Allan - Jeff passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at home on December 22, 2010 at the age of 46, following a valiant 6 month battle with cancer, Jeff is survived by his beloved of 21 years, Diane, and his precious daughter Alexandra. He is also survived by his father, Trevor Hawkins of London, his brother Craig and his wife Lisa of Cincinnati and his sister Andrea and her husband Randy of Calgary. He was predeceased by his mother, Marion, in 2006. Jeff will be missed by his parents-in-law, Ian and Isabel Allingham of Goderich and his brothers-in-law, Frank and his wife Lynn of London and Ian and his wife Kelly of Kincardine. he was the fun-loving uncle of 14 nieces and nephews as well as on great-niece and one great-nephew. His extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins in Ottawa and Peterborough also mourn his passing. Jeff was in his 25th year of employment with RBC Dexia Investor Services in Toronto and held many positions through the years, most recently as the Director of Investment Counsellor Services. The family would like to thank all of our good friends and colleagues for their support and compassion during Jeff's illness. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Princess Margaret Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital and North York General Hospital for their excellent care of Jeff during his many hospitalizations and treatments. We would especially like to thank our wonderful family doctor, Dr. Hanna Zuckerman and palliative nurse clinician, Virginia Clark-Weir for their truly ourstanding care and support during this difficult time. Finally, our sincere thanks to the support provided by the York Region CCAC, especially Amy, and all of the home care staff, especially our nurse, Mehnaz. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, in support of sarcoma research.. Family and friends will be received at the Jerrett Funeral Home-Vaughan Chapel, 8088 Yonge Street (south of Hwy. 7), Thornhill, Ontario on Monday, December 27, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11 a.m.
