Jeffrey Paul Hems

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Paul Hems. Jeff passed on October 21, 2026 at his home in Richmond Hill, Ontario. He is survived by his spouse, Deborah, of 30 years, his children Joshua, Sarah (David), Jordan, Caleb, and Adam and his grandchildren Malcolm and Dylan. He is also survived by his brothers Andy, John and Bill.

Jeff is pre-deceased by his parents Herb and Mary Hems.

Jeff will be remembered as a loving husband who worked incredibly hard his entire life to provide for those he loved. He enjoyed reading, fishing, and for his many creative talents such as baking and sewing.

A private visitation will be held with the family in the coming days and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Jeff's memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association or York Regional Fire Services.
