It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Copeland, of Toronto, on August 6, 2015, at the age of 85. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Donald Copeland and her 3 children; Gail (George) of Ancaster, John (Beth) of Timmins and Dan of Mexico. Her laugh and her youthful outlook will be missed by her 8 grandchildren; Cara, Dan, Katie, Chris, Alex, Rachel, John and Nathanael. She had the joy of hearing of the birth of her first great grandson, Arthur, born just 10 days before her passing. She was predeceased by her 2 sisters Doris and Muriel. Visitation to take place at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, North York) on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the R.S. Kane Chapel on Thursday, August 13 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Odette Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital, would be appreciated.
