Passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Helen. Loving Dad of Cathy (Catherine) and her husband John McGill, and the late Robert (1984). Cherished Grandpa of Ally (Alexandra) and Matt (Matthew) McGill. Dear brother of Elin ? Burki. John will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. He graduated from U of T in 1962 and worked for Dominion Bridge for over 25 years then worked as a consultant for Yolles until his retirement. Friends may call on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment York Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundaton.
