Josephine Mary Proctor

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.

Jo, born in Toronto on November 3, 1926, to Lillian and Robert Wilson, was older sister to the late Betty (Doug) and Peter (Yvonne). Loving sister to Graham and Don (Gwen). Loving wife of 48 years to the late Lowell. Jo will be forever missed by their six children David, Debbie (David), Susan (Lee), Barbara (Barry), Judi (Mark), Pat (Bob), and her fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jo had a successful career as Executive Assistant to the Commissioner of Management Services at Toronto City Hall and was well respected and loved by her many friends and colleagues.

As matriarch of the family, Mum was strong, kind, fair and loving to each of her children. Her wisdom, guidance and support to each of us will be long treasured.

Many special thanks to the nurses and staff of Leisureworld Orillia, especially Home Area 4. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (south of Steeles Ave) on Tuesday January 26, 2010 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday January 27, 2010 at the Stouffville United Church, 34 Church Street, Stouffville at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated.
