Passed away on March 13, 2009 at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre at the age of 83.
Predeceased by her loving husband Ole . Loving mother of Paul (Denise), and John. Proud grandmother of Liam and Jennifer. Joan will be greatly missed by her brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at St. Edward the Confessor R. C. Church (75 Churchill Avenue). Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
