Kris Astaphan

Passed away with his beloved wife and loving daughters by his side on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the age of 59. Born on the Caribbean island of Saint Kitts in 1953, his life was a true rags to riches story. Kris was a man of brilliant intellect whose many accomplishments in life are a testament to the power of hard work and integrity. Loving, selfless, and honest by default, everything he did was to benefit those he loved, in particular his wife, Verne, and daughters, Kristi and Rebecca. Kris will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and daughters, and the many siblings, cousins, relatives, friends, and strangers across the globe whom he helped and touched during his time on earth. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 11th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at 10 a.m. at St. Basil's Roman Catholic Church (50 St. Joseph St., Bay and St. Joseph St., Toronto). Interment to follow at York Cemetery.
