WEAVER, Laura Madeline (nee Hoad) - Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 23, 2003, in her 82nd year, after a 2 year battle with colon cancer. Laura leaves to mourn her loss but remember her love and guidance, her three children Wayne, Elaine and Marilyn, her daughter-in-law Pam, son-in-law Darshan, and her dear granddaughters Amanda and Karen Weaver. Her dearly beloved husband Alfred William Weaver and her eight siblings predeceased her. Laura grew up in German Mills and her lifetime hobby was researching local history. Visitation will be held at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Friday, July 25, 2003 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held at St. Patrick's Anglican Church (1087 Lillian St., just south of Steeles) on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Thornhill Cemetery (John St.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Anglican Church, 1087 Lillian St., North York, ON M2M 3G1.
