Peacefully in her sleep on December 13, 2011 at York Central Long Term Care, Richmond Hill at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Harry ("Bud"). Proud mother of Les (Deborah) and the late Mary Hirst. Grandma to Lee-Ann, Michelle, Jeffery, Danielle, Catherine and Dawn. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Hailey, Desiree, Brett, Stephen and Bennett. Lena will also be missed by her sister Norma and her "adopted" daughter Dian. Friends may call on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.
