Passed away peacefully at Gibson Long Term Care at the age of 88.
Son of the late M.J and Mary McCarthy (nee McCauley). Survived by his sister Joan O'Donnell (the late Bernard), and predeceased by siblings Marcella Sullivan (the late Bernard), Joseph McCarthy (the late Grace), Helen Kelly (the late Dr. Norman), Marie Pritchard (the late Frank), Mary McCarthy, Eleanor Roberts (Thomas), and Kathleen Peever (the late Charles). Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their famillies. Sadly missed by dear friend Peter Lynch. Special thanks to Lydia and the staff at Gibson House for their outstanding care.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at St. Margaret Queen of Scotland Church (222 Ridley Blvd., Avenue Rd. and Wilson Ave.). Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
