My sister Marcy was a beautiful, kind-hearted and giving person.  She was a bright light in a lot of people's lives.  With her brilliant warm smile, infectious laugh and kind words, she made a huge impact on those who knew her.  I know from all of the comments being made about her that she will be missed by many more than I could have ever dreamed.  
She was an enormous part of my life.  I would talk to her pretty much every day, either on the phone or by text.  Even if she just to called to ask a silly question or tell me a joke.  As sisters, we were as close as any sisters could be, but we were also friends.  She knew she could count on me for anything and I knew the same about her.   We have shared many secrets that we could only tell each other.  She tried to keep things from me so that I wouldn't worry but eventually I would drag it out of her.  
As most people probably know, Marcy tried to have fun wherever she went.  Her presence at parties was a wonderful addition, especially if she cooked for it.  She loved to cook and tried out new recipes quite often on me and Mark.  Her co-workers were especially lucky because she would make meals for them while on shift.  She had even talked about opening a food truck someday.  Her other passion was travelling to the Dominican Republic.  She has made many new friends there.  She had also talked about moving there for good one day.  Marcy loved spending time at the cottage with her friends as well.  I am sure there are countless stories about those times!!
She will be missed more than words can say by her best friend Janice, and very close friends Karl, Tanya, Gale and Nicole.  She had a lot of very good friends within the fire department as well, too many to mention.  
Marcy opened up her heart to people like no other.  Younger or older, she didn't care.  I know that many of her friends' parents and friends' children will miss her too.  She always had encouraging words for anyone that needed them. 
My brother, Brett and his family will miss her dearly.  She was especially close to Michael, Jodi and Krista.  She will also be missed by our step-father Danny. 
I want to thank Janice and Danny for being there for Marcy when I couldn't get back in time to be with her. 
Marcy, you have left us way too soon and you will be a missing piece of a lot of people's lives.  But I know that you wouldn't want us to be sad so we will try, my beautiful sister.  You have Mom and Dad to take care of you now.  We love you so much.

Marcy was a beautiful person inside and out.  I admired the way she cared for her Fire Family, especially us at Rotherham (QM and Mechanical).  She was purely and unabashedly Marcy - never any pretenses or pretending.  I loved that about her.  Seeing her always brightened my day.  You will be so missed, Lady.  Rest in peace.

Marcy - while so much of our lives didn't touch on an ongoing basis, the little that did was meaningful. As a little girl our families had such fun together and over the years that fun and your wonderful sense of humour continued which developed you into an amazing strong young woman that  handled all situations with the balance of strength with that humour. Each time I saw you over the years I admired how you dealt with each challenge with positive energy which each of us will need to emulate today to deal with your passing. Marcy, you always put a smile on my face.  We did so much together as we were growing up.  Spending time at your cottage and having sleep overs at your house.
