Marion passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27th in her room at Amica Bayview Village after enjoying pumpkin pie at her 101st birthday party on Friday with family, her minister and a few Amica friends in attendance.
Marion is survived by her nephew Doug Joyce (Carolyn) and niece Shirley Joyce (Ron), great -nephews Bryan (Mary), and Scott (Stacy), and great -nieces Kimberly and Laurie.
Marion is pre-deceased by her parents Walter and Cora Huffman, her husband Paul of 15 years, sister Gladys Joyce (nee Huffman), brother-in-law Bill Joyce and brother Ellis.
Marion will be lovingly remembered for her love of life and her family with whom she willingly shared her time, attention and cooking skills. Professionally, Marion completed 40 years of service at the TTC as executive secretary to the chairman and retired in 1987.
The family would like to express sincere thanks to the PSW’s and staff at Amica Bayview Village for their attentive and compassionate care.
The Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday 18th October at 1:00 PM at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge Street in Thornhill, reception to follow.
