Marlene Yvonne Campitelli

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, sister-in-law, aunt and friend on March 18, 2026 at Amica Erin Mills Retirement Home in Mississauga. Marlene passed away peacefully after a well-fought battle with Alzheimer’s.

Marlene was born in Port Elgin, Ontario to Anna and Joseph Schlemmer. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 67 years Giovanni “Nino”, her sister Edith and her brother Walter. Marlene is survived by her sons Mark (Soile) and Carl (Rebecca) and daughter Tara (Robin) as well as her grandchildren Katriina (Gregory), Karli (Colin), Cole (fiancée Julia), Chad and Calvin, and her great-grandson Timothy. Marlene is also survived by her sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families. Family and friends in Canada, USA and Europe are also mourning her loss.

The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Amica Erin Mills for their professional and compassionate care. A public visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (8088 Yonge St., Thornhill). Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge St.). Family and friends are also welcome to join the Celebration of Life through a livestream.
