Maroun Victor Hajjar passed peacefully at age 90. He was the son of decedent parents Joseph and Marie and brother David (Yousef “Joe”). He is survived by his loving wife Salwa of 59 years, sons George (Sherry) and Richard, grandchildren Dawn, Victor, Gregory and Tanner as well as brother Elias (Janette, Robert) and sister Solange (Mimi, Melina, Michael).
Maroun left Palestine and moved to Canada in 1967, to open the doors and pave the way for his young wife and 2 baby boys. He was a “working man”, who was tireless and relentless in doing whatever was necessary to make a life for his family.
Maroun lived a long and eventful life, devoting himself to his family, Church and his Masonic Lodge. He worked hard to become a highly decorated member of the Masonic Lodge, where he developed and maintained a Brotherhood that he cherished and held so very dear to his heart. He was a polarizing member of an extended family that meant the world to him. He was loved and respected by many and will be missed by all.
