Passed away peacefully on Friday March 11, 2011 at York Central Hospital - Palliative Care Unit. Maureen was born July 22, 1937 in Toronto. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario, in 1958. Beloved wife of Clark for 50 years, and cherished mother of the late Chris (Agatha Verney) and Jill (Eulogio Valer). Adored grandmother of Kayla Verney and Amanda and Thomas Valer, and loving sister of Suzanne Smith (Reg) and Robert Bullock (Linda). Treasured Aunt Moe of Brent (Afsun) and Cam Smith and Jessica and Hillary Bullock. Maureen will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. Friends may call on Wednesday March 16 from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Hemophilia Society.
