Michael Bruce Oakley

Michael passed away peacefully in the early hours of August 6, 2026 at Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of 32 years, his son Justin (Ria), his grandchildren Caidence, Gabriel, and Allie. He will be missed by brothers Robert, and Andrew (Linda), and nieces and nephews Mark, Gareth, Carolyn, James, Nicola, and Catherine. Brothers in law Jim and George (Ann) will also miss Michael immensely.

Michael is predeceased by his parents Frank Edward and Daphne Yvonne Joan Oakley.

Michael fought courageously for months with his devoted wife Marilyn and cherished niece Carolyn by his side.

Michael was a loving husband, father, son, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for his love of the Toronto Blue Jays, cars Mini Cooper’s to be specific, apple fritter donuts, and his overall enthusiasm for life.

The family would like to express deep thanks to Dr. Arthur Dermen, family physician, Dr. Jain in the Emergency department, all the staff on C4 Medicine Purple and the ICU of Mackenzie Health Richmond Hill Hospital for their compassionate care they provided to Michael.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
