

Summoned by angels on May 19, 2016 from Southlake Village, where the 3E Staff provided her with exceptional care. Millie will be lovingly missed by her children Sheila (Stephen Walker), Karen (Joseph Kennedy), Michael (Deborah); grandchildren Robert and Paul, Bethany and Maggie; great-granddaughter Madelyn. Millie was born in Ottawa on May 26, 1929. She worked for Bell Canada. The meeting of a handsome man while on a trip to Europe prompted her to move to Toronto in 1957. Millie and Norman ultimately celebrated 56 years of marriage. Millie was a kind and loving person. She took pride in raising her children; engaged in volunteer work; was passionate about swimming at her cottage on Anstruther Lake, baking, travelling, downhill skiing, golfing. She was predeceased by her husband and siblings (Frances Feltham, Alda Joyce, Lois Wilkins, Ethel Dyson and Richard McKee) and brothers-in-law (Austin and Gordon Street). She will be fondly missed by her many nieces and nephews, and her many special friends. Visitation on Friday, June 24th from 6-9 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, North York). A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 11 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior, at Cummer Avenue United Church (53 Cummer Avenue). Urn Interment at York Cemetery.
