Nigel passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side after a battle with brain cancer on Monday, November 12th, 2007 at the Sunnybrook Hospital - Palliative Care Unit. Beloved husband for 50 years of Anne Lillian (nee McNeil-Smith). Devoted father to Lorraine, Kathy and Joanne Muench (Tom). Dear Brother of Robert Baillie (the late Joan) of Toronto, and Joan Berry (Bob) of Kelowna, BC. Nigel will be missed and lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. Nigel was a 34 year employee of Gulf Canada and treasurer of the BA/Gulf Alumni Association. He had many interests including 20 years as a Director with PAD �" Parent Action on Drugs; a member of the Willowdale Lawn Bowling Club and Past Treasurer; an avid curler at the former Avonlea Curling Club; and long standing member of St. George's Anglican Church. Nigel loved to spend time in his garden. He loved his elephant collection (which must number over 300 of all shapes and sizes). A celebration of Nigel's life was held at St. George's Anglican Church on Friday, November 16th, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, PAD �" Parent Action on Drugs, or St. George's Anglican Church Building Fund.
