Dear Madupe, Barry and Omotayo's Sis,

You're all in my prayers and daily thoughts, and again seeing that wonderful portrait of your son and brother,I feel like telling you that what will always prevail and remain with us, deep in our heart, is Omotayo's broad enlightened smile, and so this is the sweet soothening light emanating from his face as a precious inner mirror and reflection of the education, family values and high standards you offered and nurtured him with that I feel like reminding you of today. 
       And this is surely the seed he has undeniably sowed on this earth for all who have had the chance to meet him and who will always remember him as a relative, friend, university or school classmate or even an acquaintance that struck them once as worth meeting and talking to, even for a moment in their lives, not to mention all the ones who have had the chance to get to know him really,fully and who will go on sowing the same seeds as he has and you have indeed, dear Madupe and Barry. 

Keep deep in your hearts that  englightened light of yours, the loving light that God sent you to be shone in our everyday life, now and always for a world that you have endeavoured  and designed with better consideration and with tighter connections between all of us, all of us.
And the connections as you know, coming  from Above, fom all your ancestors and passed beloved ones, like Omotayo, coming from the various continents you have managed to connect with and have made sure to keep connecting,well these unique bonds are endless reasons to warm up our thoughts and prayers in times of sorrow and even in every ordinary or more ambitious days and stages of our lives.
That seed is your strength and I look up to what you have achieved and keep sharing so kindly and with profound dignity, with humbleness and gratitude.

I only heard today of Tayo's death from an old friend. I am so saddned to hear about your loss. I remember Tayo as a baby when I first met you both on York U campus. My prayers are with your family.

I am taking this opportunity to mourn the loss of Tayo, once again!
The pain of the loss of your beloved, our beloved, is never far from us and the image on this page is a reminder of the depth of loss, beyond repair.  The cruelty of it all is overwhelming...what are we mere mortals to make of it...and the senselessness of it all?  And yet, we must find a way forward into a life that honours him and profound humanity and intellect...to nurse the wound while holding his memory in reverence, for he was only given to us for a brief moment...so brief that it hurts. But he was here and he loved and was loved by you and so, so many. The world is better for it and we will always celebrate that about him. A larger than life presence in our lives even fro that brief moment...Thanks for sharing him with us...Yes, victory!

I come here daily, I look at his face and I ask myself, why Omatayo? One thing we all know for sure is that we will all go one day and we do not have anyway of knowing how, or when it will be our turn.  Knowing how brave he was and  practical; I know that inspite of all this pain and grief, at the end of the day, he would expect us all to get our studying done.  He was so disciplined and focused.  He would insist that we carry on with the tasks at hand.

I didn't look forward to picking up the phone to express my condolences to your family for obvious reason...I could not believe the little boy I knew is gone. Well, The Lord giveth and taketh. On behalf my family and I, please accept our heartfelt condolence. Words can not express how sorry we are about Omotayo's demise. May the good Lord console you!

I was extremely sad when I got the news from Claire-Nefertari, as I still have vivid images of all of you when I first met you, at York university in 1988, when I was working as a French language assistant and had met Claire in the French House on the campus residence, and so had the chance to meet you and the lovely baby Omotayo was, with the dear loving parents you were, at the place where you lived then. 
Then when I all saw you again at Claire and Winton's wedding,it was a wonderful moment, and I will always keep deep in my heart the honour it was for me to be with you all again, and most of all Madupe, your sweetness and open-mindedness struck me again, as well the beautiful elegant African clothes you were proudly wearing on that occasion, and I still have a pic of that day and of you, Madupe and your husband, and it is next to my laptop at the moment, yes right now, so the connexion with you is more complete, and your broad smile standing behind me, sitting next to your husband, attested to the great woman you were, you are and have always been. Claire has regularly given me some news about you, as I've always kept you deep in my heart of Southern little French teacher.
And despite the terrible painful days you're going through, knowing you, you will help Omatayo to remain among us with the same broad smile I can see on his face as yours and his Dad's.
 Your genuine humanity and generosity that is a characteristics of the person you are is something I always tell my pupils about over here in France, as I've been teaching English once back to France, and I always tell them I don't only teach them a language to communicate and get to understand people to the core of who they are, but I also consider I teach the language of the wide variety of people I've met in England, Canada and different countries in Europe, and of their living experience, traditons and values, and as far as you are concerned the inherent warm and noble features of the community you belong to that I had the chance to meet and get to know thanks to Claire and you Madupe and Barry, since you kindly and spontaneously opened the doors of your place to me in 1988 and let me share a moment of tender happiness with Omotayo and you. 
And to tell you the truth, you then beautifully moved the young woman I was and the mother I would become many years later. I admired the inherent strength  you had to carry on your studies at University and bring up with so much loving patience your baby son, and see to Barry's well-being, too.
All my love and prayers for you all and Omotayo.


You're all in my prayers, and as a Mum (and a teacher in a secondary school with youngsters), you're deep in my thoughts.

It is hard to sleep, I cannot stop the images of the little boy who would run up to meet me at the day care.  We would have the best time.  He never forgot those days as he grew up. He never stopped questioning the world around him, if he did not get an answer he would revisit the question.  I cannot forget how he took my request so seriously at the age of 4...
He was the proudest ringbearer you'd ever seen...
His smile, his love, the joy he exudes is everlasting...

I pray that Barry, Dupe and the girls find the strenght to get through the days, though painful it is, there is no other choice but to carry on...

My deepest condolences and prayers go out to the Morrison family in this trying time. Omotayo "Tayo" was an amazing man and I was blessed enough to meet and study with him.
