Paul and I were both avid readers and movie-goers.  There wasn't a book or movie he could't talk about and the discussions were lively.  They could go on into the wee hours of the morning.  Missing you terribly bro'...but I bet the cable rates up there are killer and you get to see all of the movies as pre-releases!

To Paul's family: I never actually met Paul. We were acquaintances through our mutual friend Orville. I truly wish I had had the opportunity to meet Paul in person - from the numerous emails we exchanged in our baseball and football pools over the years, I was always convinced that Paul was a lot of fun and a true sportsman. He never complained about losing, never gloated over winning. He was part of the true spirit of OfFbAse (the baseball group) and Ponty's Pool, our football group. His caring and kind soul showed through in his emails and in his transactions within our group. He will be missed. I am truly sorry for your loss and know that a fine man is now in a better place. My deepest sympathies to Paul's family and friends. We have truly lost a great person. Paul was my supervisor at the Blue Jays for the past four seasons. He was a wonderful supervisor who valued our opinions, and someone who we could always count on. He was also quite unique with his calm demeanour which is something that made him all that more special. I appreciated the effort and time he took to organize his many baseball trips and pools, and his involvement in our mid and end of season parties. You could tell he really loved working for the organization and with the people he worked with. Paul truly made working for the Blue Jays an unforgettable and wonderful experience. Even though it is only my part time job, it is definitely the most enjoyed job I have had and I have Paul to thank for that. Paul was a remarkable supervisor and friend. Words can't express how much he will be missed.

I remember in my first year with the Jays going out for drinks with the staff, I was only 18 and Paul made sure that I walked in to the bar with him so I wouldn't get carded.  I worked with Paul for ten years after that and those were some of the best years for me.  Working with wonderful people and having a great boss.  You will be missed Paul and you will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace

Paul was a member of our Wednesday night bowling league.  He was well liked and very personable. He was a very kind soul and we will miss him greatly.

To Paul's Family: Paul's photo makes a lot of people smile, the way I would like to remember him. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am truly sorry for your loss. Paul was my boss for over eight years. He was great with the ticket takers ; made us laugh and gave us support when things got hectic. He had a great sense of humour which can be seen with his photo and stil makes me laugh. Paul will always be remembered I am sure at every game. God Bless. I wish you strength and fond memories as I am sure Paul would have wished.

I am saddened about this news. Paul was a classmate and friend, and my thoughts go out to his family.

A few years ago, during the Ricciardi era Paul was kind enough to give me tickets to a Jays game.I was delighted to go to the game but warned Paul that so far that year I had been to 7 games and the Jays had lost them all. Paul said he was not superstitious so to the game I went with a friend. Things started well with the Jays building a 4 or 5 run lead. Then in the 6th inning everything went wrong. The starting pitcher couldn't throw a strike other than they hit it and the fielders made several errors. Quickly the Jays lead was gone. Right then the person behind me tapped me on the shoulder, and passing me his cell phone said, there is a call for you. I didn't know the gentleman and didn't know who would even know I was there. It was surreal. I took the phone, "hello"  "Leave, get out of the park, you are a Jinx, stay away from the games,don't come back again this year." Of course it was Paul and he had given tickets to the man behind me as well so knew how to reach me. It was very funny and very clever and typical of Paul's sense of fun. Can't believe he is gone.

I worked with Paul as an usher at the Jays from 2003 - 2006 seasons, and was a ticket taker for the 2007 season.  I went on most of the staff baseball trips, and enjoyed all of them.  Paul was so amazing at organizing them, and making them fun.  He also gave me a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to the Jays Care foundation gala, where I was able to get a ball signed by my all-time favourite baseball player, Roy Halladay.  We always exchanged stories about baseball parks that we had both visited, and what made them special.  Paul was an amazing person, so kind-hearted, thoughtful, and a joy to be around.  I will really miss him, and all his adventures.

Paul was a gifted and caring individual that I got to know through his many contributions to Manor Road United Church. He was a good friend and will truly be missed by so many. Ed.

Man, I'm going to miss Paul. We always had such good conversations about books and movies. God has taken him much too soon. I guess He needed another baritone for the choir eternal...

Paul, was a kind and caring person. He was a great organizer for the Jays staff trips and I always enjoyed being around him. You will be sadly missed Paul.

I am so glad we got to take that road trip together. That was a highlight of my visit and a treasured memory. Thank you for being so hospitable and welcoming. You were a truly kind and funny person. I was looking forward to speaking to you on Skype after you got better. Will be thinking of you everytime I watch the hockey.

Paul was extremely kind and giving. His hard work and passion is something I will always admire. Thank you for planning fantastic road trips to see the Blue Jays play and thank you for giving me the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the Buffalo Bisons game this past August. 

Your sense of humour and warm heart will be missed.

I worked with Paul for five seasons as a ticket taker and was very shocked and saddened to hear the news today. My thoughts go out to his family and Katie whom I met when she was a ticket taker two years ago.
