With broken hearts, we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Peter Racanelli, 48, of Toronto, on Monday, September 22, 2025.
Born on April 20, 1977, in Brampton, Ontario, Peter was the cherished son of Gail and Peter Racanelli. He will be remembered for his larger than life personality, his quick wit and gift for making others laugh, and his unwavering determination in all that he pursued. To know him was to know fun! Peter had a gift for making people feel seen, accepted, and valued exactly as they were which left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
Peter leaves behind his loving parents, Gail and Peter; his brother Matthew (Natasha); his sister Taylor; and his adored nephew and niece, Sage and Cypress. He will be missed deeply by his extended family, countless friends, and all who were touched by his warmth and acceptance.
A visitation and celebration of Peter’s life will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes from 4:00–8:00 p.m., with family sharing words and memories beginning at 7:30 p.m.
To carry forward Peter’s legacy, Randolph Kids Performing Arts is proud to establish the Peter Racanelli Diversity in the Performing Arts Scholarship. Through this, future generations of artists will have the chance to pursue their dreams, just as Peter so passionately did. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to this scholarship.
