Peacefully on October 5, 2008 in Richmond Hill after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Heli for 48 years. Loving father of Leea Hannele (Jayson Muir) and Eija Diane (Steve Dyer). Cherished Pappa of Justin, Katrina, Christopher, Cailey and Matthew. Raimo will be fondly remembered by many friends and family both here in Canada and Finland. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 10-11 a.m. at Agricola Finnish Lutheran Church (25 Old York Mills Road, North York) with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Special thanks to Dr. Matilda Ng, Dr. Brian Berger and everyone at Hill House for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hill House Hospice (30 Wright St., Richmond Hill, ON L4C 4A1), Canadian Cancer Society or Agricola Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
