Raymond Charles Holland

Peacefully, with his family at his side, passed away in the Veterans Wing at Sunnybrook Hospital. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff for the exceptional care he received. Cherished husband of Rosemary for the past 63 years. Devoted father of Linda Mary Aves (Paul), Raymond Edward, Stephen Charles (Debbie), and Brian Francis. Loving grandfather of Kevin (Jennifer), Andrew (Sarah), Erin and Theresa, James Raymond and Daniel Edward, and Adam and Lisa. Great-grandfather of Owen, Nathan, Spencer, Makayla and Tyson. Survived by his sister Theresa Hayton (Tom) and sister-in-law Rita Daniels and brother-in-law Alvin. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Sharon, sisters Eileen and Margaret and his brother Edward (Ted) and his wife Lisa, also brothers-in-law Webb (Evelyn) and Raymond Daniels. Despite the many health challenges Ray faced during his later years his sense of humour, love of God and family and acceptance of the words "thy will be done" brought comfort to us all. Friends may call on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St., at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September, 14, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
