I sent you one of my most precious gifts from God - Patrizio.

Patrick will love you all over again and I know he is happy to be with his Nonna.  Thank you for loving him. I know he brings you joy.

Ma, it's been a while since we spoke. I think of you and often speak of you., Dad and Rocco.  The memories of you are vivid in our mind and hearts.

Patrick loved you and missed you dearly.  He often said how much  he loved being with you. He told everyone the best times of his life was those spent with Nonna, especially in  Kobi.  He loved being with and working with you.
You made him know and feel so loved. There was never any doubt  of the depth of your love for him or any of us.

 I look out the window at the birds feeding - you're holding the hummingbird in your hand, feeding it with a syringe, nursing it's injured wing

Mini lights - Christmas  at Kobi, the ceilings strung with countless strings of blue lights

Gardens - your ability to make even plastic grow

Children - how you loved them and how they were drawn to you

 Animals - feeding them first because ' they cant say they're hungry"

Loving, kind, giving, caring, accepting, forgiving, unwavering, comforting, constant, encouraging
- this is the reality of you.

I can't call you, I can't ask advise, I can't say good bye.

To the Dalimonte family,

By chance I found this obituary and was compelled to write a memory. You probably don’t remember us - Maria Carvalho,  Cidalia and John. We used to live on Honeywood in North York. Our moms used to work together. I remember clearly on the day of my father’s funeral your entire family marching into my house with trays and trays of food. Because my father died tragically at the age of 34, no one in my family was prepared for anything, let alone a luncheon for our funeral guests. That gesture of kindness has remained with me all my life. I remember your sister Silvia renting the basement apartment of the house we eventually moved into. I remember visiting your mother’s bakery near Lake Simcoe. Despite losing touch over the years, my mother mentioned your mother’s kindness over the years. We are lucky when we meet people who treat us like family and whose kindness is forever planted in our hearts. Death is always sad , but memories become our salvation. May the memories of your sweet mother’s acts of kindness remain with you forever. We send our deepest condolences to your family.

My mum just sent me the newspaper clipping. I was sad to hear the passing of Rose. I worked at the restaurant 30 years ago and lived next door to the ice cream store. Rose was such a wonderful woman and so full of life. I don’t know that I’ve ever met a harder working woman who did it all with such ease.  My thoughts are with all the family.

Sorry you lost your mom. She was more Beutiful than her name.  

So many fond memories of getting pizza on lakeshore Rd in Jackson’s Point then over to the Sand Bar that Stoyan owned to play video games.  

Goin to the place on Dalton Rd and she always looked me straight in the eye and asked coma sty - had such a presence.  You were lucky to have had her that long.  

Hugs girls. Sorry to have not shown up but these days don’t read many news papers and didn’t know she passed. 

She was a great Mum.  Thanks for sharing her with us in Jackson’s Point.

My heartfelt sympathies to you and your family on the passing of your dear mother, Rosalia.  Your Mom’s smile and genuine happiness to meet and greet people will always be remembered.  She loved people admiring her cooking, her beautiful gardens and, especially, her family.

Little did we knew that morning
That mom would pass away.
In life she loved us dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose her,

The loss of a mother is a great loss, especially when that loss was the anchor in your life.
When you think of an anchor, you usually picture the heavy object that's tied to a ship that keeps it secure to the bottom of the sea. An anchor is something that provides a firm foundation and security. In the scriptures, the term anchor is used to represent God and faith, that which keeps us steadfast and gives us hope during the trials and storms of life. 
So what can we do when we have lost that anchor?
Take the time to devote your thoughts to your loved one, who they are or were what they have meant in your life, and what they would want for you in the future. If you feel yourself sliding back into the “should” haves and “shouldn’t” haves, you will feel their loving influence direct you back to your path of caring for yourself. 
You will struggle and you will persevere. Be gentle and patient with yourself. You will take help when it’s offered to you and when you feel it’s right. You will take the time to be by yourself when you need it, and you will try to surround yourself with people who understand what you are going through if that is what will help you get through the day. 
You will do all of this. And you will do it every day until you no longer need to do it anymore.
There’s a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just like there’s a special place in every mother’s heart for her children. You must continue to carry her memory in that special place in your heart. I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your mother.

Mom, how I wished and prayed that things could have been different for you as you struggled through a long, difficult battle with Alzheimer's. Even though, now that you are at peace and your struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness.
