Saara Marjatta Heagle, aged 74, died peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in her room at The Gibson House Long Term Care Residence after a long battle with Parkinson’s Lewy Body Dementia. Saara was born in Iisalmi, Finland on June 22, 1941. She was wife to Ralph; mother to Andrew and Susan and step-mother to Cristine; mother-in-law to Christine and Christopher; and grandmother to Colin, Cameron, Connor, Tristan, Violet and Sophie. She was also a friend to many. Saara was a fun and lively woman who always had a smile to share and a helping hand to give. She was loved by all who met her and she will be missed greatly. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 5:30 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles).
