Salme Lodu

Passed away peacefully Friday April 28th, 2006 in her 92nd year and is now in the arms of her Saviour. Predeceased by her husband Herbert and son Madis. She will be sadly missed by her children Koit Lodu (Dorcas), Helja Ahlberg (Elof), Aili Kung (Tony), David Lodu (Jeanette) and Eha-Lea Pumber (Raul), daughter-in-law Helga Lodu, brother Feliks Vilbiks in New York and sister Linda Haavel in Estonia. She was the beloved grandmother of twelve grandchildren, great grandmother of fourteen great grandchildren and a caring and loving friend to so many. The family will receive friends at the R. S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Wednesday May 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday May 4th at 11:00 a.m. Interment York Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends can make donations to the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, 2450 Miltower Court, Mississauga, L5N 5Z6, for the benefit of the 'Village of Hope' in Harare, Zimbabwe, the directors of which are her granddaughter Anita Cooledge and husband Gordon.
