We are indeed saddened to lose Tadeus as a wonderful neighbour on Don River Blvd. We took him and his caregiver Cecelia out for a Japanese dinner in the spring. Tad greatly enjoyed the sushi and conversation. He wanted to treat us to a Polish dinner but we did not have a chance to do so as his health declined. 

To his family, we convey our deepest sympathies on the loss of a creative filmmaker and amazing man.

My sincere condolences to his family and many friends. I was a student of Maestro Jaworski's at Humber College in the early 70s and he was a patient, kind and brilliant teacher. It was an honour for all of us to be taught by a filmmaker of his stature. There was quite a buzz in the school when he was nominated for an Academy Award. It's good to know that he had a long life.   

My sincere condolences to Peter and the Jaworski family. I was the little girl in the Selling Out movie. I have very fond and vivid memories of Tadeusz doing his best to be patient with this totally inexperienced 8 year-old in her film debut. I recall his asking me to 'skip' from one spot to the next - a direction I struggled with for some reason. I tried and failed for a few takes and then he decided to demonstrate for me. The image of the great Director's skipping tutorial is one that I will never forget. Wishing you all the very best at this most difficult time.

     We were neighbours of Tadeusz and Tamara from 1986 to 1999 when we moved out west. We continued our friendship through phone calls, correspondence and occasional visits. Tadeusz was a great friend with a fine sense of humour with  wide and deep intellectual interests in the arts. We fondly remember them both for our 
frequent informal get-togethers and dinners, particularly with our mutual neighbours and friends, the Galvins.
     While it always very sad to lose a parent, you can be somewhat consoled that your father had an unique, interesting and successful life. We hope he was able to finish his memoirs for you.

Tad and his wife Tamara arrived in Canada in 1969. Both were internationally-celebrated artists. A purge of intellectuals in their native Poland, forced them to start again. Who among us would be able to make this effort in our fifties?  Yet the Jaworskis grappled with a new country, new languages, new customs to create new livelihoods.

The promise of freedom and opportunity Canada makes to every immigrant was vigorously embraced by Tad and Tamara. Their hard work, creativity, drive and engagement with Canada's cultural life has left an indelible mark on this country.  Those of us who came into their orbit always came away infinitely enriched. I shall miss Tad's annual new year's telephone call as well as his charm and good humor. I have been blessed to work on several assignments that came my way courtesy of Tad and his commitment to Canada's arts and the artists who create the works which create and renew our vision of the world.

I Knew Tadeusz for 30 years  and even I was not very close friend I was touched by the news of his passing. 
I admired him for his contribution to Polish and Canadian Cinematography.
