Terry, the beloved and devoted partner of Barb Allan, dear father of Troy Brookes and his wife Ashley and Taylor Cossitt and her husband Blair.
He was the dear stepfather to Lisa Colton and her husband Jeremy and Pablo Garcia and his partner Tina.
Terry is the proud grandfather of Cailey-Jade, William, Nicholas, McKenna, Dylan, Madeline and Charlotte.
He is sadly missed by his brother Ralph Brookes and his wife Alison and his stepsister Beth Rhind and her partner Gerry Malloy. Lovingly remembered by 10 nephews and nieces.
Terry was a fierce protector of his family and demonstrated love that cannot be recreated. He was a beacon of light and courage when those he loved couldn’t. He taught his family to be brave and stand up for their principles and never stop fighting.
One of his favorite pastimes included spending time at the cottage on Chandos Lake, boating or sitting on the dock throwing water toys for the boys, Maverick and Cody.
Terry will be sorely missed.
In memory of Terry, a Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday November 2, 2025 between 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at The Rolling Acres, 2941 Taunton Rd., Bowmanville, ON, L1C 3K5
