

Theodore Alexopoulos passed away at the age of 79 on November 19th, 2016 after a long illness. He was born in Matesi, Greece in 1937 and grew up in Athens, where he graduated from Hephestos College as an Automotive Electrician. He moved to Canada in 1961, where he met his wife Theodora to whom he was married to until her passing in 2004. Theodore was known to all as a kind man who never missed an opportunity to smile. He always brought joy and comfort to those around him. Theodore enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was a man of great faith, dedicating a lot of his time to the Greek Orthodox church and community. His greatest happiness was being surrounded by his family, grandchildren and friends. He will be truly missed by his son George (Christine), daughter Kira (Rick), his grandchildren (Vicki, Vanessa, Deora, Thea and Alexander), siblings John (Popi) and Eugenia (Nick), other family members, and all his good friends. Friends and family can join for the viewing at R.S.Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street, from 2-4p, and 6-9pm. The funeral will be held at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 3125 Bayview Ave at 10am, Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Theodore’s name to the Hellenic Home for the Aged, where he was well looked after by the staff, nurses and doctor for the past 5 years.
