It is with great sorrow our family announces the passing of our beloved Harold on Tuesday, June 5th, 2007 at the North York General Hospital, in his 95th year. Loving husband of Helen for 66 years. Devoted father of Jim and John and his wife Beth. Cherished "Pops" to Josh, Molly, Melissa (Jason) and Jessica. Brother of the late James Melville Merrick. Friends may call on Friday, June 8th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service will be held at the R.S. Kane Chapel on Saturday, June 9th, 2007 at 1 o'clock. Cremation to follow. Interment, Uxbridge Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Willowdale United Church or Toronto Humane Society.
