Timothy John Miller

Dearly beloved husband to Carol Miller (nee McCarville) for 58 years filled with laughter, fun, and love. Dear father to Christine, Lesley, and Sharon (Jesse), and doting grandfather to Cassie, Claire, and Hailey. Fun brother-in-law to Joan McCarville and her husband John. Tim was devoted to his family, loved to party, and enjoyed travelling the world with good friends Peggy and Joe Klos.

Born in Bombay, India (now known as Mumbai), Tim was born to Dr. George Miller, Commander General in the Canadian Navy, and Elva Hastings-Miller. Tim’s family moved to Bowmanville, Ontario when he was three years old, and spent his public school and high school days in Toronto. He made fast friends with Brad McDonald, Norm Dell, and Rick Funston, having great times together and staying in touch for their entire lives.

Tim spent most of his adult life working as a stock trader, a career he loved. Eventually, he became the Director of International Trading at WD Latimer Inc. While working at Latimer, he not only enjoyed his job trading, but also enjoyed the people he met and worked with.

As requested by Tim, cremation has taken place. We will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Saturday January 27 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 8088 Yonge St., Thornhill.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Lung Association.
