Terry is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Yen-Nhi; father to Vinh-Khang and Ai-Vy; son to Hon Phan; brother to My Phan (Dac Son) and Michael Phan (May) many nieces and nephews from both families.
Terry was born in Dalat on September 9, 1966. He immigrated to Canada with his mother, father and brother in 1981 to join his sister and her family. In July 1999 he married the High School love of his life from Oakwood Collegiate Yen-Nhi, and had two beautiful children together. He was an IT professional, who in recent years worked closely with his brother at Scarboro Mazda as an IT and Marketing Manager where he will be remembered by all the staff and clients as a kind, dedicated colleague and friend.
Terry was a gentle giant. He was humble, full of laughter, self-effacing and practical. Terry lived life to the fullest through life’s simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking and spending time with his loved ones. He enjoyed spending time and caring for his mom with frequent visits at Yee Hong nursing home. Terry had an uncanny ability to disarm and reach people in a deep and positive way. His absence will be felt for many years to come by all those who loved him. We will forever remember his unforgettable infectious laugh and his appetite for delicious food and tech deals.
The visitation will be held on Monday August 8, 2022 from 4-8 pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes at 8088 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON.
The Funeral services will be on Tuesday August 9, 2022 from 10am-1pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes to follow with a private Cremation Service at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Mausoleum and Cremation Centre, 4570 Yonge St., North York, Ontario M2N 5L6.
