Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Southlake Residential Care Village at the age of 92.
Beloved wife of the late Norman. Loving mother of Ian (Denyse) and Ruth (Ron Groves). Proud grandma of Brent (Lindsey) and Garrett Martin and Christopher Groves.
Vera's family would like to give a special thank you to the staff on the 5th floor of Southlake Village for their care and compassion. Vera lived happily at Sunrise of Aurora for the last four years after her move from her home in Thornhill.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Thornhill Presbyterian Church (271 Centre Street), with visitation beginnig at 10 a.m. Interment at Elgin Mills Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society.
