On September 29, 2016, after a sudden and unexpected illness, Walter has gone to be with his beloved Mary, who passed in 2010. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Diana and grandson Justin, his sister Trudy and family, brother Ernie and family and dear family friends Ann and Larry. Walter lived his life to the fullest and although he will be greatly missed we are thankful his illness was brief and his passing peaceful. A special thanks to the staff at the Toronto Western Hospital for the care and compassion he received. Walter believed every problem had a solution, to face your fears and to always make time to dance and enjoy life. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Monday, October 10 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, October 11 at 11am. Interment Holy Cross.
