Willa Fannie Ryan

Peacefully on December 22, 2018, one day before her 95th birthday. Predeceased by her husband Edward Joseph Ryan. Loving mother of Harold, Nadine (Dermod Mark), Mary (Derrick Hall), Maureen (Bill Smilovsky) and Dennis. Cherished grandmother of Ryan, the late Kerry, Ashley (Matthew), Kelly (Zeke), Terri (Robert), Mark (Maria), Kattie (Adam), Kurt (Nicole), Kyle, Christie (Karl), Meaghan, Lauren and Jessica and great-grandmother of Carter, Audrey and Taylor. Sadly missed and much loved by daughter-in-law Heather McVicar. Predeceased by her brothers Grover and Carmen. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Originally from Little River, New Brunswick, she moved to Willowdale where she lived for almost 50 years. She was an active parishioner at St. Paschal Baylon Church, a dedicated volunteer at Cummer Lodge, and retired from the Institute of Aerospace Studies at the University of Toronto after 25 years. Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Saturday, December 29 from 10:30am to 12:30pm, followed immediately by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
