Died peacefully at Sunnybrook Veteran's Wing on August 24, 2009 at the age of 92. Lovingly remembered by his children Nancy (Jim) Fuller, James (Marlene) Young, Lesley Young and grandchildren Alexandra, Jonathan and Bayley. Devoted husband of the late Maimie Young. The family is grateful for the tireless devotion of the Sunnybrook Nursing staff at K2 wing, and his compassionate and loving caregiver Isabel. Maynard will be remembered as a gentle soul, who loved music, the arts, history and family. Friends may call on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 4:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 3pm at R.S. Kane Chapel. Donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital (Veterans).
