

Born in Denver, May 14, 1930, she was the daughter of Harry and Ethel Oswalt. She was the 9th of 12 siblings and was the last to pass away. She was the widow of Richard (Dick) Gerard. They had 2 daughters, Cindy and Sue. Cindy died in 2017. They had shared 52 years of marriage before Dick’s passing in 1998.
Betty loved fishing and camping with her family in her younger years. She worked a few different jobs over time, but her favorite one was being a great mom and grandma. She enjoyed the few trips to Laughlin, Nevada to gamble with her younger sister Ruthie. She lived with Ruthie for about 22 years in Buena Vista, Colorado until her death in March of 2021. She then moved to Denver to live with Sue and Kenny.
Betty is survived by her daughter Sue Langton. Grandchildren Tiffiany Mullins, Doug Mullins, Chris Grantz and Cory Grantz. Great grandchildren Jesse Tapp, Cheyenne Tapp, Logan Fisher, Trevor Mullins and Cindy Sue Grantz. Great-great grandchild Nina McLaughlin. She is preceded in death by her grandson Brenton Slayton.
A funeral service for Betty will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229, followed by a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. at Olinger Highland Cemetery.
