Carol Ann Sanderson

Carol Ann Sanderson was born to William V. and Mabel H. Sanderson on January 31, 1948, in Denver, Colorado and passed into glory on the morning of April 28, 2026 in her Denver home. She was 78 years of age.

Carol graduated from Denver East High School in 1966 and went on to study at Colorado University in Boulder, Colorado. She started as a Service Representative at Mountain Bell and retired as a Methods and Procedure Specialist for Qwest. She bowled in the Brunswick Bowling League and was an avid reader. Carol was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother William "Billy" Lewis, her brother-in-law James Russell, and her niece Leslie Mundy. She is survived by her older sister Mary Ellen Russell, her son Shawn Sanderson, and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a loving and giving person. We carry her lessons, her laughter, and her love in our hearts. She will be missed and never forgotten. We find comfort in knowing she is in God's care. We look forward to the day we will see her again.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229, US, on May 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
