

Carole Hamilton Thaler, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, at Oakwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Lakewood, CO. She was a former resident of Westminster, CO for many years.
Carole was born on February 9, 1933 in Sigourney, Iowa to Wilson J. and Mildred (Leary) Hamilton, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Coe College with a degree in music and taught for many years in the Adams County, CO school district. She loved to play the flute and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church flute choir until she moved to assisted living.
Carole was the kindest, most loving “earth angel”. She gave unconditionally to everyone she met. She exemplified Christlike love more than anyone we’ve ever known. Her beaming smile and sparkling eyes will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her brother, David Hamilton, nieces Melodie Hamilton (Michael McKay) both of Hendersonville, NC and Michelle Hamilton (Laurie Stefanski) of Rochester, NY, son Aric (Lupita) Murfield of Atascadero, CA, daughter-in-law, Lanette Murfield, of Denver, CO, daughter-in-law Katy Murfield of Dolores, CO, her dear friend Patty Branaman and her children, Alex and Kyrie of Wheat Ridge ,CO, grandchildren Mishay (Joey) Reeves of Atascadero CA, Kacey Greenwalt , Luke Murfield and Megan Murfield, all of Dolores, CO. She was preceded in death by husbands Norman Murfield, Jere Thaler and George Barr, sons Jeffrey Murfield and William Murfield.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21st at 1pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1820 Broadway, Denver, CO with the service commencing at 2 pm. Reception to follow immediately at the church.
