Donald Goo passed away at the age of 90 on August 26, 2016, at Highlands Ranch, Colorado. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Kee Chung and Sui Len Goo. First of six children: Frances Stein, Ronald Goo, Dorothy Man, Theodore Goo, and Constance Wiggins, Jr. (deceased).
After graduating from Maryknoll High School, he joined the Army Air Core and was stationed in Munich, Germany, where he met and married Albertine Brandl (deceased). Don and Albertine returned to Hawaii where he worked as a machinist at Pearl Harbor. Later, Don worked for the U.S. Government, Department of Defense, in Japan, Vietnam, Washington DC, and finally in Denver, Colorado, where he retired at the grade of GS-15.
He was a member of the Masons and Shriners. He loved traveling and visited China a number of times. Also, Don took his family on a number of domestic as well as international vacations. He provided his children with much knowledge and adventure. He became an accomplished golfer winning many tournaments. But his all-time favorite activity was the slot machines.
Donald Goo is survived by four children – Albertine Hood, Patricia Scherman, Laureen DuFrayne, Timothy Goo, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Donald will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Albertine, on Friday, September 2, 2016, at Olinger Highland Cemetery in Thornton, Colorado.
