Donna Ochs Henderson

Donna was born May 16, 1944 as the second of 4 children of Louis and Vivian Ochs. Her older brother Gary Ochs (Marsha) lives in Bedford, Indiana, and a younger sister Linda Wade has passed and her other younger sister Anita Pulham (Gary) lives in Smithfield, Utah.

Donna is survived by her husband Glenn, daughter Susan and son Todd, and also by her grandson Louis Dixon Henderson.

Donna grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and developed a love for music and reading as well as being active in her church. She had a zest for life particularly in helping others. She went to Manual High School then graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in education. Donna also did graduate work at Stetson University in Deland, Florida and was certified in reading and special education. While there, Donna met Glenn and they were married August 14, 1970 in Ormand Beach, Florida.

While in school she played the Cello with the Louisville Youth Orchestra and was also an accomplished pianist.

Donna was a teacher for the Louisville/Jefferson County Schools and taught all grades K-12 and even adult basic education. Her real love was teaching young children at an impressionable age to help them both develop life skills but also help install the values of a good moral character and spiritual growth.

Having joined Calvary Community Baptist Church in July 2014, she taught the 4 and 5 year olds Sunday School class, was active in various Outreach Ministries and participated in Home study groups and for years participated in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship), which is a national organization.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9th from 4-7p.m. at Olinger Highland Chapel, 10201 Grant Street in Thornton, Colorado. 80229

Services will be held Thursday, March 10th at 10 a.m., at Calvary Community Baptist Church, 11980 Irma Drive, Northglenn, Colorado. 80233
