Doralee grew up and attended schools in Illinois and Colorado. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Colorado and her Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She taught in the Denver Public Schools from 1966 to 1992. She was a member of the Park Hill Methodist Church.
She is survived by a loving family that includes her children, Terri (Armstrong) Roland and Carla Armstrong;
grandchildren, Cameron Roland and Veronica Roland and great grandchildren, Katrina and Laron Roland.
She has requested to lay near her Mother into eternity. To honor that request, a graveside ceremony will take place at Grandma’s space [Dorris (Geaither) Prudhomme] at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229 on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2pm.
