Dorothy J. Babbitt

Dorothy Jean "Dot" Babbitt was born June 26, 1932, in Eldorado Arkansas, to Joseph Clem and Lucy Irene (Slaughter) McGaugh. She was the youngest of their four children. Dorothy married Kenneth Carol Babbitt on February 3, 1951. In 1953, they left Arkansas and made Colorado their new home. Dorothy was a homemaker and mother and loved and cared for her family. Ken and Dot as they were known were blessed by two daughters, Carolyn and Sherilyn.

Dot was active in the church and loved and served the Lord Jesus with all her heart. She lost her loving husband Ken in 2010. She continued to live in their home in Commerce City, Colorado where they had lived since 1955. In 2017, Dot moved to Larkspur to live with her daughter, Sherilyn. She resided there enjoying the county life until walking through the pearly gates of heaven on March 8, 2022.

Dot was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth, her parents and siblings.

Dot is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Geda (Curt) of Agua Dulce, California, Sherilyn West of Larkspur her grandsons Chad West (Elizabeth) and Jason West (Bethany) along with seven great grandchildren.

The family has chosen not to have a formal service. A graveside service for family only will be held on March 18, 2022.
