Elmer always remained close to extended family. I am the youngest member of the Roberts extended family. When I graduated from High School and moved to Denver to attend Central Business College, Elmer & Babe invited me into their home. Imagine what a great memory this left with me as a 17- year-old away from home for the first home. Later after retirement we made many trips to Back Hawk/Central City with Elmer & Babe. Elmer loved to reminisce about our early years growing up in Weld County, Colorado. Many of his fond memories were of gatherings of the Roberts extended family at our home. My mother was a wonderful cook and even though our house was quite small there was always room for everyone. From the service today apparently he carried on this special trait of family. Elmer will be missed. Only cousins left are his sister Lucille, my sister Maryann and myself.

Woody and my dad spent many years working together at P.I.E. and living in the same neighborhood. I don't remember ever seeing him without his orange pickup truck, you could always spot him a mile away.

May he rest in peace and may each of you find comfort in knowing that he is celebrating with our Lord and Savior.

Elmer was always smiling. He was patient and kind. We would wave passing each other in our cars in the neighborhood. I have missed that simple thing since he left his home. Rest In Peace and give Babe a hug from me. Dianna Barth
