His passion for Cadillacs and other classic cars kept him busy throughout life, whether it was a new purchase, driving around with the music blasting, or spending many hours tediously building, painting, modifying and personalizing his collection of model cars. Walking into his home felt like walking into The Museum of Ernest Chavez on display for the world to see all that he created, loved, and enjoyed; from his model cars, his jewelry, statues, modified everyday household items, and the countless pictures of the ones he loved. He will be remembered most for his humor, love, and his knack for creating lifelong relationships.
