

Helen Lappin passed away on January 5, 2012 at the age of 91. She was born Helen Fern Catron on August 24, 1920 to O.H. (Bob) and Fern Catron in Carter County, MT. Helen grew up on the homestead ranch just inside the Montana border which was located northwest of Camp Crook, S.D. She was the oldest of six children. In 1944 she married Loyd Allan and together they had two daughters, Teresa Joy and Linda Maxine. Later they divorced, and she married Edwin Lappin. Together they had one son, Gary.
Helen and Edwin were in Lewistown, MT for many years then moved to Denver, CO in 1964. Helen worked in Aurora for a dry cleaner business for over 20 years. She and Edwin were members of the Deaf Lutheran Church in Denver.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, in 1987; two sisters, Mildred Francisco, Irene Vaughn, and one brother, Clyde Catron.
Survivors include two brothers, Bobbie Catron from Lewistown, MT., and Rex Catron of Winifred, MT; daughters, Terry Marro of Colorado Springs, CO., Linda (Pete) of Columbus, MT., and son Gary (Lita) of Sacramento, CA. Helen had eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Denver, CO. at a later time. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
