Jean Etta Macdonald

Jean Etta Macdonald, age 78, peacefully passed away on Sunday March 4, 2018 at Arbor View nursing home in Arvada, CO. surrounded by her family. Born in Hollinger, NE to parents Herman N. Keiser and Julia R. (Oberquill) Keiser and was the youngest of 3 siblings, Roberta Howard of Butte Falls, OR., and preceded in death by her parents, brother Wayne Keiser and great grandson, Camden Ramstetter. Jean graduated from Beaver City H.S., Beaver City, NE in 1957 as Valedictorian of her class. She had a beautiful singing voice and was proficient on many instruments including drums, cornet, french horn, violin, guitar and the piano. She married Neil Wolzen and moved to Colorado, where she enjoyed a career as a hairdresser, salon owner and was a member of the National and Colorado Cosmetology Associations. She married Eddie Macdonald in 1965. She was an avid golfer, gardener and fisherman, and loved all kinds of music and dancing. Loving all sports, she stayed a true Cornhusker and Denver Broncos fan. She got her dream job as a platform artist for Revlon N.Y. before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1972. She was a long time participant at the King Adult Day Enrichment Program where she enjoyed many activities including ceramics class and bowling. We will forever be grateful for their contribution to our lives. Jean leaves behind her daughters: JoDee Wolzen-Ramstetter, Jeana Wolzen and JoAnna (Lance) Macdonald-Ribordy; 11 grandchildren: Ryan Ramstetter, Kyle (Melissa) Ramstetter; James, Jiana (Jon), Morgan and Melise Davis; Jeanai (Natalie)Fore, Kayla Legg (Kevin), Nathaniel (Jesus) Cervantes; Aimee (Ryan) Cheney, Lori (Mark) Pendgraft; and 12 great grandchildren. Services will be held on March 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Olinger Highland Mortuary and Cemetery, 10201 N.
