It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeremiah Austin Trickel, age 24, on February 6th, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born on February 14th, 2000, in Denver, Colorado, Jeremiah was a bright and adventurous soul who lived a life full of love, laughter, and joy.
Jeremiah was the beloved son of Jennifer Porter and Chris Porter (stepfather), and he will forever be remembered for his carefree spirit, sense of humor, and deep affection for those he loved. Whether it was fishing, camping, dirt biking, or simply walking in nature, Jeremiah cherished the outdoors, where he found peace and happiness. His love for adventure was matched only by his loving, protective nature toward family and friends. He was a true jokester, always quick with a smile, and made those around him feel cared for and cherished.
Jeremiah’s memory will live on in the hearts of his mother Jennifer Porter, stepfather Chris Porter, grandparents Dan and Pat Adams, favorite sister Andrea Haugen, and her spouse Jessica Haugen. He will also be deeply missed by stepbrother Christopher Porter and his spouse Kaylee Porter, as well as his aunts and uncles, Tony & Robin Covello, Daniel Adams, and Chance & Amanda Buell. His cherished nephew, Greyson Turmell, and cousins Antonio Covello, Tanner Covello, Daniel Adams Jr., Kyle Adams, Lindsey Adams, and Paisley Adams, were all blessed to have shared in his life and laughter.
Jeremiah was predeceased by his godson Milo Stage Cha on March 15th, 2021. Though he is gone too soon, his spirit continues to inspire those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on February 17th, 2025, at Olinger Highland Mortuary in Thornton Colorado. Following the service, there will be a gathering at the Northglenn Moose Lodge to celebrate Jeremiah's life and the joy he brought to all.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a Suicide Prevention organization of your choice, in honor of Jeremiah’s memory and to support others who may be in need.
Thank you to all of Jeremiah's friends and family for your unwavering love and support during this difficult time. Your kind words and memories have been a source of comfort and healing.
Rest in peace, Jeremiah. You will forever remain in our hearts.
